AIGA is a non-profit volunteer ran organization with various chapters across the nation. The organization aims to provide engaging and educational programming, opportunities for personal and professional growth, and access to mentorship and resources. I was invited to join the Indianapolis board in 2025 and have been helping them achieve their goals since then.

As a communications board member for AIGA Indianapolis, I worked with the communications team to strengthen the chapter’s digital presence by promoting events, providing informative content, brainstorming and planning ways to build community engagement.
My role includes website managing and design, copy writing, research, social media content design, and event support, all focused on connecting and growing the local creative community.
As a comms board member I created a variety of visuals for social media, highlighting observances like ADA Accessibility Day and Black History Month while keeping a consistent brand style across Instagram and LinkedIn. Projects included an infographic on accessibility for digital creators, a portfolio platform comparison guide in carousel format, and promotional materials for both online campaigns and in-person events.

Other duties in this role included WordPress updates, improving SEO, and linking Eventbrite and Humanitix promos with the website for a smooth user experience. At events, I designed wayfinding materials, handouts, and hand painted signs that elevated the look and feel of each gathering. Most recently I played a key role in moving our site from WP to Squarespace and was the web lead on that project.
This role has strengthened my ability to combine creative design with strategy, adapt content across platforms, and collaborate on visuals that are unique yet maintain the chapter’s brand identity.
Migrated the AIGA Indianapolis chapter site after the WordPress theme was deprecated and the chapter no longer had hosting access to switch themes within WP.
