Ineffable was a local indie hip-hop artist who commissioned me to design a logo and mixtape cover. The brief called for themes of nature, which is the reasoning behind the mountain and the Greek key motif representing a river. The biggest challenge was visually personifying the word “ineffable” — something too great to be expressed in words. To capture that, I chose to show a figure peering through a telescope, implying that whatever they were looking at was ineffable in nature.

For mood, I leaned whimsical, weaving in elements of the artist’s personal style and lyrical motifs from his music.

This piece showcases my skills in photo manipulation and digital collage, using Photoshop and layering techniques to create a balanced, visually interesting composition.
